Richard E. Cauger Scholarship for Excellence in Classic American Literature

Established in 2015 in honor of the late Professor Richard E. Cauger, who inspired his students at Butler University with his contagious passion for American Literature. The scholarship was established to help alleviate the financial stress of education for students studying English who have demonstrated an interest in Classic American Literature (authors that were active prior to 1950) and are on track to graduate in four years or less. The scholarship cannot be renewed.
