Howard C. Caldwell, Jr. Scholarship

Established by the Indianapolis television station WRTV Channel 6 to honor anchorman and Butler alumnus Howard Caldwell ‘50. Howard is a former member of Butler’s Board of Trustees and comes from a long line of Butler alumni. This scholarship provides financial support to rising members of the junior and senior classes who demonstrate high promise in the field of broadcast journalism.

  9. You may receive additional notice in the fall that you have been awarded a scholarship other than the ones above. If such notice is received, you understand these additional awards are used to support your total financial aid package and are NOT additional scholarship awards. Butler University awards your financial aid in generic terms such as Academic Scholarship, Butler Grant, etc. so a student can then be matched with a named scholarship. These scholarships help support the financial aid program and are essential for us to continue awarding over $80 million in financial aid each academic year.
