Spencer Fox Memorial Scholarship

Established in honor and memory of Spencer Fox ’87, by a group of close friends and family. This scholarship provides financial assistance annually to a member of the Butler University Marching Band. Spencer was a saxophonist with the marching and concert bands at Butler University, as well as an historian of the honorary band fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi. He had a profound effect on those around him through his attitude about life, and he was a source of inspiration to all as he fought cystic fibrosis. Everyone who knew Spencer loved his sense of humor, his laughter and his outlook. In his short twenty-five years, he packed in a lifetime of accomplishments. In June of 1990, Spencer lost his courageous battle with cystic fibrosis.
